Curse of the Worgen

Curse of the Worgen is a five-part comic mini-series. This mini-series fleshed out the background and the druidic history of the worgen and "really dig deep" to explain "exactly how they came about," and "where they came from." It included the creation of the Scythe of Elune.

It was written by Micky Neilson and James Waugh with art from Ludo Lullabi and Tony Washington (issue 1).

A series of grisly, animalistic murders have rocked the walled town of Gilneas. A famous detective sets out to discover the perpetrators and finds far more than he bargained for. To find the truth, he must delve through years of twisted history – both the history of his family and Gilneas itself.
