API GetLFGModeType
Last wiki revision 2020-04-04
Returns the type of group or instance being searched for in LFG. queueType = GetLFGModeType
Note that Blizzard divides "Looking For ___" functions into three categories: LFR specific to the raid finder, LFD specific to the 5-player instance finder, and generic "Looking For Group" routines like this one, applicable to both of the finder/matching tools.
- queueType : string - returns which kind of group the player is queued for
- raid: in Looking For Raid
- default: in Dungeon Finder
- unknown: not queued, or transitioning between states
This function is used in Blizzard code to, among other things, determine which "searching eye" icon texture is used on the minimap.
In 4.x, this function is implemented in FrameXML/UIParent.lua. In 5.x, this function is removed.
