Mastery: Ignite
Last wiki revision 2023-09-07
Mastery: Ignite is the Fire Mage Mastery, improved by the mastery secondary stat. It applies a damage over time effect to targets hit by the mage's Fireball, Fire Blast, Scorch, Pyroblast, or Flamestrike, the target burns for additional damage over 9 seconds. Ignite also procs off Meteor and Phoenix Flames if the Mage is talented into these spells.
- Ignite cannot critically strike and is unaffected by Haste.
- Ignite can spread onto targets who aren't in combat, including neutral targets.
- When Ignite spreads, the duplicate Ignite will have the same remaining duration as the original.
- When Ignite attempts to spread to a target already affected by Ignite, it checks the other Ignite's remaining damage. If the other Ignite has more damage remaining, the spread will fail; if the other Ignite has less damage remaining, the spreading Ignite will overwrite it.
