WoW Blog/The Shattered Halls
Last wiki revision 2023-02-15
This article is a copy of "Timewalking Highlight: The Shattered Halls", an official blog by Blizzard Entertainment. It's about the Shattered Halls dungeon that was made available for Timewalking.
In World of Warcraft Patch 6.2, we're introducing a new series of seven different weekend Bonus Events, two of which will feature Timewalking Dungeons—one in Outland dungeons for characters level 71 and higher, and another in Northrend dungeons for level 81 and higher. When you Timewalk these dungeons, your character's power and gear will be scaled down to a fraction of what they normally are, and as you may have never ventured into some (or any) of these dangerous places, it might be a good idea to prepare yourself now.
At the heart of Outland's barren Hellfire Peninsula stands Hellfire Citadel, a nearly impenetrable bastion that served as the Horde's base of operations throughout the First and Second Wars.
For years, this gargantuan fortress was thought to be abandoned, but it's now inhabited by marauding bands of red, furious fel orcs. The presence of this new, savage breed presents something of a mystery, though what is far more disconcerting is that the numbers of these fel orcs seem to be...growing.
- Legionnaires must die! Kill them first.
- The non-boss enemies in this dungeon mean business. Make a plan for every pull.
- Watch out for Nethekurse's Void Zones.
- O'mrogg is known for leaving the tank and attacking someone else in your party. Be ready for that.
- Look out for the additional enemies with Kargath! It's vital that you take them out quickly.
If you haven't earned these achievements already, completing this dungeon will award The Shattered Halls and Heroic: The Shattered Halls, the latter of which is required for Outland Dungeon Hero.
Killing enemies in this dungeon increases your standing with Honor Hold or Thrallmar. For a full breakdown of what you can do with Honor Hold reputation, check out Wowhead and Wowpedia. For details on what you can do with Thrallmar reputation, Wowhead has it here and Wowpedia here.
Timewalking dungeons are coming to WoW this weekend! Keep an eye out for the weekend-only quest A Burning Path Through Time (Warlords of Draenor), which rewards a Seal of Inevitable Fate when you complete five Burning Crusade Timewalking dungeons.
