Blood Oath of the Horde
Last wiki revision 2023-09-01
The Blood Oath of the Horde is a sacred oath traditionally sworn by all new members of the Horde. It binds its warriors to the warchief, but more importantly, it binds them all together to the Horde.
One of the blood oaths of the Horde is the right to retribution.
During events in the Dragonblight, adventurers use the oath induct the taunka refugees at Westwind Rest and, later, the taunka's high chieftain Roanauk Icemist into the Horde.
New members of the Garad'kra militia swear the blood oath during their initiation ceremony.
The item is provided as an objective for the following quests:
- All Hail Roanauk!
- Blood Oath of the Horde (quest)
- After Vol'jin survived the attempt on his life by the agents of Garrosh Hellscream, he asked Horde adventurers to swear a blood oath with him. Unlike the Blood Oath of the Horde, this oath was a personal one. Although he had sworn to follow the Horde, Vol'jin no longer recognized Garrosh's legitimacy as warchief, and asked adventurers to do the same.
- Thrall recites the last line of the blood oath in his Heroes of the Storm character trailer.
