Pallid Horror

Pallid Horrors were elite wights that periodically appeared during the Scourge Invasions in the Undercity and Stormwind City, Always Accompanied by Flameshockers, Going through rampages on the cities while killing city guards (including elite variants not seen anywhere in the game and guards from the starting zones). They were for lower-level characters so that they could continue to go about the city without worrying that a high-level elite undead would rain destruction upon them.

In Stormwind, they were first spotted at the Cathedral of Light, While in the Undercity they were first spotted in the Sewers and Trade Quarter.

The notable thing about them is that when slain, a Faint Necrotic Crystal will appear at the body for a short time. (It stays somewhat longer than the body.) This crystal starts the quests
