SS undefined (Oculus)
The Nightborne Soulstone is a powerful relic that can capture souls.
Archmage Vargoth tried to study it at his retreat. As he did so, he found out the soulstone was located within the Arcway Vaults. Vargoth was not the only one seeking the relic, Millhouse Manastorm also wanted it, but while trying to reach it he got captured. At the end Vargoth managed to obtain the soulstone.
Afterward, the Tirisgarde Archmage faced Vargoth at the Oculus and found out he was under Kathra'natir's control. Kathra'antir used the soulstone to attack Meryl Felstorm and siphoned his power.
The Tirisgarde Archmage with the help of other mages used the soulstone to capture Kathra'natir's soul and was brought to the Hall of the Guardian.
Ari, Meryl, Aethas Sunreaver, Arcanist Ryanna and the Tirisgarde Archmage channeled a spell to the soulstone, to cause the Nighborne Construct Progenitor and the dreadlord's soul to join together. In this state, the dreadlord was powerless enough but just for safe manner Aethas wished to get another shield over the soulstone, this time with fel energy.
When the process was over, the soulstone was taken to Dalaran Spire and now is used by harnessing the dreadlord's energies to defend Dalaran by channeling the power to Dalaran Crystals.
During The Vault of the Tirisgarde, this item can be found just behind Aethas Sunreaver in the east room of The Guardian's Library in the Hall of the Guardian.
