The Iron Price

The Iron Price is an achievement earned from collecting 3 Pristine True Iron Ores and then killing Gruul in Blackrock Foundry in Normal difficulty or higher.

• This achievement's name is a reference to the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels and the HBO TV series Game of Thrones, which is based on the books. There, "paying the iron price" is an element of the culture of the ironborn, the inhabitants of the Iron Islands, with the meaning of taking the possessions of someone one has killed, as opposed to "paying the gold price" (that is, treating or purchasing something), which is seen as shameful for a man.
