Shrine of Dath'Remar

The Shrine of Dath'Remar is a monument located on the west side of Sunstrider Isle in Eversong Woods. It was created to honor Dath'Remar Sunstrider, the first king of the Sunstrider dynasty.

When inspected, the plaque located on the front of the shrine reads:

• The Shrine of Dath'Remar (quest)

• The shrine's second-to-last sentence originally read: "Let all who gaze on this monument remember his sacrifice against the Scourge and his dedication to the cause of our continued survival." This was a developer mistake, since Dath'Remar was long dead during the Scourge invasion; it was his descendant Anasterian Sunstrider who was the king of Quel'Thalas at the time and who fought the Scourge. The mistake was corrected in patch 4.0.3a, which reworded the sentence to remove the mention of the Scourge.
• Prior to the addition of quest markers and patch 5.0.4's addition of a separate map for Sunstrider Isle, many new blood elf players had a hard time finding the shrine, causing some to nickname it the "Shrine of Mankrik's Wife".
