Duel to the Death

The Duel to the Death feature is unique to the World of Warcraft: Classic Hardcore and replaces the regular duel system since death is a permanent part of these realms. Challenging a player with this feature is equivalent to the orcish custom, "Mak'gora".

To initiate this feature, right-click on the player's portrait and request the Duel to the Death from the menu or select the target and type in the chat. Before commencing combat, both parties will have to agree to an acknowledgment warning window.

Players that come out victorious in a Duel to the Death will receive a new permanent String of Ears buff that increases by 1 with each new victory.

• The Strings of Ears buff cannot be earned prior to level 10 and cannot be earned if both players in a duel are too many levels apart.
