Chef's Award

Chef's Award was one of two types of Cooking Award, the other being Epicurean's Award. It was introduced in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm.

Chef's Awards are obtained as rewards from daily cooking quests.

• Notes:
• When a player obtains one or more Chef's Awards, they are immediately converted into tokens (currency) found in the currency tab.
• The quests are performed near or inside the city they are given in.
• Each faction has five different quests. Only one quest is available each day - it is random which of the five it will be.
• Completing all quests (which would require at minimum five days) will unlock the achievement.
• While the previous cooking dailies in Dalaran and Shattrath usually requested the player to cook something buff-food made in Cooking, most of the dailies yielding Chef's Awards asks the player to gather items near or within the city.
• Completing daily cooking quests yielding Chef's Awards will also yield skill-ups in Cooking (either 1+ or 2+ depending on quest).
• Collecting these awards is also an objective for the progressive achievements. The first achievement is to obtain one award, then 10, 25, 50, and finally 100 awards. These are not required for the meta-achievement.

Chef's Awards can be used to purchase the items listed below, from in Stormwind City, in Ironforge, in Darnassus, in Orgrimmar, in Thunder Bluff and in Undercity. Conveniently, both are located near the NPCs giving daily quests which reward Chef's Awards.

• Although this is not seen by the player, Chef's Awards actually exists in two different versions; one given to Horde-players (achievement pvp h h.png Orgrimmar Cooking Award) and one given to Alliance-players (achievement pvp a 16.png Stormwind Cooking Award). This can however still be seen in WoW-databases such as Wowhead (see external links).
• In order to read the flavor text on a Chef's Award, hover over it when it is displayed as a reward in any of the quests which yields it.
• To get all recipes 91 awards are needed which, depending on the quests will take between 46 to 91 days of daily quests.
