Battle Standard

Last wiki revision 2021-11-13

A Battle Standard is a reusable item that can be used to grant a buff to certain allies within range of the banner, similar to a totem. Using a Battle Standard causes it to be placed at the player's location; Battle Standards are stationary and cannot be moved once they have been placed. Battle Standards will despawn after a set duration, or if the player moves too far from the Standard, or dies.

There are several types of Battle Standard, with varying effects, range, duration and cooldown. Each is obtainable by different means. Each Battle Standard is available in a different form depending on the character's faction.

PvP Battle Standards increase the maximum health of all party members within 45 yards by 15%. They have a duration of 2 minutes, a cooldown of 10 minutes, and can only be used in PvP battlegrounds. PvP Standards can also be targeted and destroyed by enemy attacks, and have 1500 health.

These items are PvP rewards, and can be purchased for from your faction's Officer Accessories Quartermaster.

Another type of battle standard that can only be used in the Alterac Valley Battleground are the Stormpike Battle Standard (Alliance) and Frostwolf Battle Standard (Horde). These battle standards also differ from regular battle standards in that they increase the damage (dealt) by 10% and have a cooldown of 15 minutes. They are similar in that they work on party members within 45 yards, last for a maximum of 2 minutes, and have 1500 health.

These item are PvP rewards, and can be purchased for from your Frostwolf or Stormpike Supply Officer.

These Battle Standards are only usable in Ashran, and must be purchased using Artifact Fragments gathered in the zone. They work by increasing allies' Versatility.

These items can be purchased for from Dazzerian or Crafticus Mindbender.

Guild Battle Standards increase the experience, honor and reputation gained by guild members with 100 yards of the Battle Standard by 5/10/15%. All Guild Battle Standards have a duration of 15 minutes, a 10-minute cooldown and a shared cooldown of 2 minutes. Unlike PvP Battle Standards, Guild Battle Standards cannot be attacked or destroyed by enemies.

Guild Battle Standards are guild rewards, available from guild vendors for gold. Each Standard only becomes available once the guild has earned the corresponding guild achievement. In addition, Guild Battle Standards can only be purchased by characters who have achieved honored reputation with their guild.

Guild Battle Standards also display your guild's crest.
