Sundering (Stranglethorn Vale)

The Sundering is a massive whirlpool located in the middle of Stranglethorn Vale, dividing it into Northern Stranglethorn and the Cape of Stranglethorn. The vortex was created by the Cataclysm, one of many geographical changes that it caused.

Li Li Stormstout remarked, about the Sundering, that ''"The road in this part of the world could use some improvement," Li Li huffed. Would it have killed them to put up a sign? 'Warning: Path ahead disappears into a giant whirlpool of death'!"''

• Falling in it or flying too low will result in death, unlike a similar whirlpool in Darkshore.
• In the Cataclysm beta, a Horde boat was perched on the rocks on the western edge of the whirlpool, but it did not make it to the live version of the game. The minimap texture still showed it until patch 5.0.4, when it was corrected.
