The Cursed Altar of Zem'lan is located on the Golden Isle in Vol'dun. During The First Time I Died, the player places the Idol of Immortality, Idol of Binding, and Idol of Sacrifice on it to see a vision of the ritual in which Pirate-King Zem'lan cursed his crew into skeletons.
