Rotten Fishbone

The Rotten Fishbone is a bait item that can be fished up from open water in Val'sharah and from Mossgill Perch Schools, with an increased chance to be caught when using an  [Arcane Lure]. It is also sold by Keeper Raynae for.

Using this item will discard fishbones on the ground. After some time, a Lorlathil Druid will arrive and cast a buff (The Cat's Meow) on the angler after taking the skeleton. The buff, which lasts for two minutes, increases the chance to catch either Ancient Mossgill or Ancient Mossgill, depending on whether the player has the Underlight Angler.
