Dawn's Gambit (quest)

Dawn's Gambit concludes the quest chain.

Place Dawn's Gambit in the Viewing Room of the Scholomance. Defeat Vectus, then return to Betina Bigglezink.

I've placed Dawn's Gambit in the container you brought to us, the one that held the dragon eggs. Your job is to bring it deep within the Scholomance.

The undead mage Vectus leads a team of scourge scholars... place Dawn's Gambit in their chamber, called the "viewing room." It will then react with the undead found there and, with a little luck, destroy them!

After that, defeating Vectus shouldn't be a problem. Right?

When you place the item in the viewing room, all the previously non-aggressive students in that room turn aggressive and most of them will aggro immediately, so be prepared to deal with 30 or so fairly weak level 59 non-elites, i.e. shield the clothies ahead of time, bunch up the mobs, and pour on the AoE. The bosses - a 59 elite and a 60 elite - do not aggro, and can be pulled individually after the students are down.
