CVar cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor

Sets the factor by which cameraDistanceMax 15 is multiplied.

If the product of this value exceeds 39, the max distance will be 39. The camera cannot be zoomed out beyond 39 yards.

For Classic (tested 1.14.4 and 3.4.3) the maximum of cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor is 4.0. However, the camera will not zoom out further than 50 yards.

In-game, type the following /console cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor setting

Alternatively, you can exit wow, open the Config-cache.wtf file, and add the following line: SET cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor setting

You can also use the SetCVar Lua function to modify it: /run SetCVar("cameraDistanceMaxZoomFactor", value)
