Daggerspine

The Daggerspine is a tribe of naga who can be found in Eastern Strand (Hillsbrad Foothills), and Drowned Reef (Arathi Highlands).

Alliance High Command in Stormwind City is becoming concerned with the threat posed by the Daggerspine, and have assigned Lieutenant Farren Orinelle to gather intelligence and take care of the threat.

Other, more shady characters have also taken up arms against these naga. Captain Steelgut of the Blackwater Raiders lost his ships in a storm off the coast of the Arathi Highlands. These ships, called Maiden's Folly and Spirit of Silverpine took on too much water, and when his crew hit the seas, many were picked off by the naga and killed. The remaining ship, Harbinger, managed to dock safely in a small cove called Faldir's Cove.

Aboard the Blackwater Raiders' ships where, amongst others, two gnomes. Doctor Draxlegauge and Professor Phizzlethorpe have sworn to help Captain Shakes O'Breen locate the lost elven treasure. The treasure has been on the sea floor so long that the gems have calcified into thick stone. The problem these gnomes are having is not just the sea itself, but the Daggerspines have taken up residence in this ancient, sunken city.

They are said to be able to command the tides, using this power to strand many ships in and around the Drowned Reef.
