Eye of Sargeras

The Eye of Sargeras was a powerful gem-like artifact previously used by the Avatar of Sargeras. It was hidden in the Tomb of Sargeras by Aegwynn when she defeated it.

The orc Gul'dan would betray the Burning Legion and seek the Eye for himself during the Second War, but was torn apart by crazed demons before he could obtain it as punishment for his actions. Years later, when the Horde of Draenor sent a party to retrieve the Jeweled Scepter of Sargeras, the death knight Ragnok Bloodreaver wanted to push deeper into the tomb to also get the Eye, but Fenris Wolfbrother was adamant this would lead to their deaths, so they left without it.

With the aid of the naga, Illidan Stormrage later managed to retrieve the artifact and tried to use it in an attempt to destroy the Frozen Throne, but the intervention of Maiev Shadowsong resulted in the Eye's destruction instead.

• It is unknown if the Eye was the Avatar's actual eye, or simply an artifact in his possession. The Fallen Avatar seems to have both of his eyes.
