CDev questions

This page contains a collection of often wondered questions concerning the Warcraft setting. This page is only intended to gather questions commonly asked by the Warcraft community to the creative developers, had they the chance. Responses to these questions will likely not occur here.

• Adding questions: There is no stupid question.
• When you add a question, first make sure it has not already been placed on this page. If you have verified it is not here, the next step would be to find it's appropriate category (ie a character, location, race, etc) and add it using the standard format. See question format below.
• As this is a collection of commonly asked questions by the Warcraft community, it is ok to add questions you've seen on the official World of Warcraft forums along with any other fan sites. However, do not transfer any ratings or votes currently held by them.
• Avoid posting questions in which the developers would have no control over, such as how players treat each other and things that exist for pure game mechanics (ie Worgen Death Knights).
• And remember, ask only one question per question as requested by the development team.
• Removing questions: Questions should never be removed without a reason.
• If you believe a question has been answered and should be removed, add reason next to the subject name with your reason and the date you marked it. Allow for 10 days before removal.
• Should you see a question that can easily be answered by in-game lore or external sources (RPG books, WorldofWarcraft.com), go ahead and move the question to the talk page, give the answer, and provide the source you obtained the information from. You should also note in the edit summary that you're moving the question to the talk page, so as to not have the asker (or other users) think you simply removed it.
• Should you see a question that you believe breaks the guidelines of this page or in general, go ahead and remove it, but remember to note exactly why you are removing it in the edit summary.
• Answered questions: What if a developer answers one of these questions?
• If a question on this page is answered, please do not immediately remove said question. Instead add the answer provided under the question along with a link to the source, if available. If the question/answer has been posted on Ask CDev, then it is ok to remove the question.
• The DOs and DON'Ts
• Do add questions you've always wondered about.
• Don't add duplicate or similar questions already on the page.
• Do mark questions you like or always wanted to know about.
• Don't remove ratings of a question you dislike or don't care about.
• Do revise questions to fix grammar, spelling errors, or to make the question more clear.
• Don't replace or change the question completely from what it was asking.
• Do ask questions about the lore.
• Don't ask questions about your class getting buffed or nerfed.

Rating

Simply used to judge how many users have wondered the same thing or generally like the question. Go ahead and add yourself by adding 1 to the current number.

• Silverhalfstarsm.png - A half silver star represents a single person.

• Halfstarsm.png - A half gold/silver star represents three people.
• Goldstarsm.png - A full golden star represents four people.
