During WoW's 11th Anniversary, this item was found inside Anniversary Gift (old). During subsequent anniversaries, it could be purchased from in Stormwind City or in Orgrimmar at a cost of.
- Although the item description states that the wand may only be used on the "targeted party member," it actually works any player target - partied, not partied, friendly, and hostile. (This is presumed to be a bug.)
- The shapeshift lasts an hour, and does not persist through death.
