Wickerman Festival
Last wiki revision 2020-04-05
Part of the Hallow's End event, the Wickerman Festival takes place in Tirisfal Glades as part of an annual Forsaken celebration. The Forsaken burn a Wickerman to celebrate their liberation from the Scourge. The Forsaken had a few s to protect the festivities, until the event was moved into the Ruins of Lordaeron courtyard.
After the Cataclysm, Gilneas reintroduces the practice of burning the Wickerman to the Alliance. For the Alliance, the wickerman embodies any unrest, fear, or uncertainty within them. They set it ablaze with the hope of tempering themselves against whatever tomorrow may bring. Gilneans burn one outside the gates of Stormwind City.
While the Wickermans in both cities can be set ablaze at anytime by players, the official ceremonial burning takes place at 8:10 p.m. and midnight every night of the festival. While the Wickerman burns Wickerman Embers will be on the ground nearby, they can be used to receive the Invocation of the Wickerman.
Thirty minutes before the event begins Darkcaller Yanka will announce:
