Varian has brought the full might of the Alliance with him to assist in the take down. Join him and Lady Proudmoore in the manhunt and earn your place among the greatest champions of the Alliance!

Speak to King Varian Wrynn when you are ready.

For too long have the Horde been left unchecked. We allowed their territories to prosper and in return for our generosity they plotted and planned our demise.

Peace? Useless... it's gotten us nowhere. We have lost some of our greatest heroes to "peace." Let us see what battle brings.

Return to Northrend,. Conquer it for your king - FOR THE ALLIANCE!

Talk to Varian to start the event:

• Putress joins the fight with a 7.4M HP pool. Let Varian tank him. He also throws blight barrels for 10k a tick as the failed experiments keep spawning, though not as quickly as before. Eventually he is defeated.

• Jaina stays behind as the party moves on. Varian and the remainder of the party reach the throne room, where Thrall, Sylvanas and a host of Warsong Battleguards await.

Tip: After Putress is killed, King Varian Wrynn runs off to the throne room and Lady Jaina Proudmoore stays behind. If you want to see the action, follow the king into the throne room (which is located on top of the Apothecary in case you get lost). If you do not, you'll just be standing around with the Lady for some minutes and are then suddenly transported back to Stormwind.

It seems that even if you hearth/port/etc during the 5 minute countdown, Varian still starts without you. You could leave him to it and do other things then come back. But it may be better to just do it with him, as it is faster and more safe in terms of completing the quest, not getting lost when you try to find him, etc. And of course, the quest is among the most epic in WoW.

• Upon entering the fight between Varian, Thrall and Sylvanas. Sylvanas may say her Aggro dialouge but Thrall and Varian will never.

Oddly, Thrall's "LOK'TAR" (which is already in Orcish) is "translated" as "TOV'OSH" to Alliance players. This is because his yell is run through the same "translation" mechanism as player speech: a simple substitution filter with no respect for actual linguistics.
