Blades of the Fallen Prince

The Blades of the Fallen Prince, Frostreaper and Icebringer, are the artifacts used by frost death knights in World of Warcraft: Legion.

The Blades of the Fallen Prince are obtained from The Call of Icecrown.

''Crafted by the Burning Legion to corrupt the world of Azeroth, the soul-stealing runeblade Frostmourne was shattered by Ashbringer atop Icecrown Citadel. Countless souls were freed from the broken blade, but others were not so fortunate. Today the shards of Frostmourne can be recrafted and infused with even more power. However, the spirits still trapped within must first be subdued and bent to the wielder's will.''

While wielding the Blades of the Fallen Prince, a Memory of Arthas will occasionally appear. Clicking on him will cause him to speak to you, and then grant you a small amount of Artifact Power.

• Temple Priestesses comment that the blades are cursed, and order the death knight who wield them to not bring the chill of death in the sacred Temple of Elune.
• Muradin Bronzebeard considered it blasphemous to see a death knight wielding those cursed blades, as they were forged from the remains of Frostmourne, the cursed blade that damned Lordaeron and it's prince.
• At the gamescom 2015 event, the twin blades were introduced as Icebringer and Soulreaper. When the artifact previews were revealed on the main World of Warcraft website on the first day of BlizzCon 2015, Soulreaper was changed to Frostreaper. Frostreaper was initially the name of the offhand blade while Icebringer was the main hand, but the two were later switched.
