Spirit of the Moment

Spirit of of the Moment is a nightborne poem and was performed by First Arcanist Thalyssra during her poetry competition against Lor'themar Theron in Suramar City after the Fourth War.

The whole night sees us,

wretched, beautiful,

beneath those untold, unblinking eyes

we dance, we drink

''we give body to the watchful heavens.

Becoming hands and feet,

Becoming.

Here I am—take my fingers to grasp the goblet,

Take my lips to breathe your first air.

Take my feet and learn to twirl and fall—

Tumble and I shall catch you,

Laugh and I shall laugh with you,

Until all of our shining eyes are stars,

And we see each other—one cosmos;

One heart.
