Dawning Wood Catacombs

The Dawning Woods Catacombs lie beneath the Raven Hill Cemetery in Duskwood. These twisting catacombs are home to the most powerful undead in the region. Many quests take Alliance characters into the catacombs. It is best to enter with a group, as a single adventurer can get quickly overwhelmed by the swarms of undead lurking in the darkness. The catacombs have two separate entrances. The eastern one leads into a den of ghouls, of the most disease-riddled and ferocious kind. The western entrance leads into a hall of skeletons, guarding the tombs of their former brethren.

A shadow altar is located within the catacombs which was used by the Conclave to find Natalie Seline's ghost.

Some time after the Fourth War, a necromancer settled in the catacombs, using the corpses there to create an army of undead, and to corrupt the Torch of Holy Flame before being stopped by Mathias Shaw and Flynn Fairwind who attacked her and fled with the sacred torch while being pursued by the undead.
