Spirit of Bashiok

SS undefined

The Spirit of Bashiok drops from Bashiok in Gorgrond. It summons a tree which looks like the original model for the Druid's tree form. It dances in place while on fire.

Aren't you thankful?

• Treant gossip

• The dancing of the summoned tree refers to a dance-off on stage at PAX East between Community Manager Micah "Bashiok" Whipple and Senior PvP Designer Brian Holinka.
• The summoned tree will say, "Aren't you thankful?" This is a reference to Bashiok's reply (in part) to a Diablo III thread regarding then-recent item stat nerfs, in which he wrote, "(aren't you thankful!?)".
• The fire on the spirit may be a reference to Bashiok's forum avatar (a Fallen Shaman from Diablo II) during his time in the Diablo community.
