Commander Duron

Commander Duron is a human quest giver located at the Stair of Destiny in Hellfire Peninsula.

The initial Alliance Expeditionary Force could cross to Honor Hold during the Dark Portal Opens event, however, the demons tried to retake the Dark Portal. Duron, leading the Alliance forces, joined forces with the Horde and received reinforcements from Relthorn Netherwane from Azeroth.

Soon after the entering, Duron sent a messenger to find a scout that would alert Honor Hold with the presence of a new army. Later, he accepted the army of draenei led by Amaan the Younger. He then defended the Portal before the forces of Ragnok.

When he realized he could hold back the demons, he prepared a report and sent a soldier to deliver it to Marshal Isildor.

• His name may be a nod to Kyp Duron, a character from the Star Wars novels.
• In the humorous video News From Outland: Crisis at Da Portal! Duron was interviewed by Wendy Breezy, but she didn't let him speak too much. He was looking at his soldiers being killed and couldn't pay much attention to Wendy. He was going to suggest something but was interrupted by Wendy. He then had to go to fight as the situation went out of control and said "Sorry, but... duty calls", leaving the reporters.
• He has the default human voice in-game, but is given a unique voice in the video.
