Ryan Metcalf

Ryan Metcalf was a Character Artist for World of Warcraft. He joined Blizzard Entertainment in 2012 and worked notably on Warlords of Draenor and Legion concepts. He has also provided art for Hearthstone. Ryan Metcalf left Blizzard November 8th 2017, after 5 years, and became Art Director on an unannounced title at Noxon OC.

• Metcalf was paid tribute in Warlords of Draenor through the NPC Ryan Metcalf, whose remains are discovered in a cave after being eaten alive by podlings. Another likely reference to him comes in the form of the Legion NPC Cote "Shepherd" Metcalf, who is instrumental in the acquisition of The Woolomancer's Charge, an artifact appearance that Metcalf helped design.
• Metcalf is the brother of Blizzard lead web designer Mike Metcalf.
