Winterspring storyline

Winterspring is a level 50-55 landlocked contested zone in northeastern Kalimdor. Players arrive from Felwood at the exit from Timbermaw Hold and progress east towards Everlook, then fork north and south until the story culminates with the defeat of Umbranse the Spiritspeaker.

The progression of the storyline is tracked in the achievement Winterspring Quests.

High Chief Winterfall will drop the, which starts the next quest chain with The Final Piece.

In addition, Strange Life Forces has a small chance to be auto-started upon the death of any Winterspring creature. It is not required for any other quest.

At this point, the questing experience forks. Deez Rocksnitch offers Starfall Village (quest). Nymn offers The Pursuit of Umbranse.

At level 54, breadcrumbs to very far-away level 55-60 zones are available from Innkeeper Vizzie in Everlook:

• The Sands of Silithus
• Blasted Lands: The Other Side of the World

Continues to the Goodgrub Smoking Pit with Where There's Smoke, There's Delicious Meat.

Wintersaber Tamers side chain:

• 1) Get Them While They're Young
• 2) They Grow Up So Fast (Alliance) (requires completing 20 of following dailies, with random one available each day)
• 3) A Cub's Cravings
• 4) 'Borrowing' From the Winterfall
• 5) Cub's First Toy (quest)
• 6) Hunting Practice

This chain requires the completion of both Trailing the Spiritspeaker from Lake Kel'Theril, and Ice Delivery at Everlook.
