<As you invoke the power of the Sargerite Keystone, the fel portal is suffused with an otherworldly energy.

It is time to return triumphant to the Black Temple and aid Lord Illidan in repelling the invading forces from Azeroth and Shattrath City.>

Interact with the keystone just behind Kayn Sunfury and then turn in the quest to the Fel Portal located behind it.

A cinematic plays upon entering the portal:

• Stepping through the portal, the player demon hunter and their fellows emerge at the summit of the Black Temple, only to find Illidan dead, his body encased in a crystal prison by Maiev Shadowsong and her Wardens.

• The player demon hunter charges, killing two Wardens swiftly. On approaching Maiev, the player is immobilized by her magic.

• With a movement of her enchanted blade, Maiev disarms the demon hunter, then invokes the containment spell to encase the hunter, and all the others, in similar prisons.

• Under attack by demonic forces. At the gates of the Vault of the Wardens, stands with Cordana Felsong, the corrupted Warden from the campaign on .]

• Cordana approaches the sealed gates, and raises her blade.

• The door activates and opens, allowing the demons to rush inside. Inside the wing where the Illidari are held, Maiev stands watch as the other Wardens rush to answer the attack.

• The perspective changes to that of the player, immobilized in their prison.

• Maiev shatters the demon hunter's prison.

• Maiev tosses the hunter a pair of glaives, held on a weapon rack nearby.

After the cinematic ends, the player receives and automatically equips the two glaives Maiev tossed to them (A pair of Fel-Etched Glaives).

Cordana's Darnassian phrase used to open the Vault of the Wardens, which is only subtitled as "(Elvish)", is "Anu'dorini Talah", which translates as "Let my will be known."

This concludes the Mardum portion of the demon hunter starting experience. The experience continues in the Vault of the Wardens with Breaking Out.
