Green Belt

Last wiki revision 2022-03-22

The Green Belt is an area of the eastern Wetlands where the trees and shrubs grow especially thick and where swamp flowers bloom all year around. Rethiel the Greenwarden makes his home here behind a hill, and where he treads, plants spring to life and blossoms flourish. The Green Belt is also home to crocolisks, bog beasts, and oozes.

A wrecked Dragonmaw clan caravan can be found here with red whelps, implying it was destroyed in the aftermath of the Battle of Grim Batol.

In the years leading up to the Cataclysm, an Alliance town has sprung up around Rethiel, the Greenwarden, called Greenwarden's Grove. The surrounding area has been affected by flooding and other unusual phenomenon which has infuriated the Greenwarden. These problems include an infestation of malicious mirebeasts to the west, and fire elementals appearing from Direforge Hill to the northeast. To the southeast, a group of Dragonmaw Clan orcs have renewed their effort to steal whelps of the black dragonflight, to the dismay of the black dragon Pyrricion and his slavers.
