Demonic Detritus is a bait item that can be fished up from open water in Suramar and from Runescale Koi Schools, with an increased chance to be caught when using an Arcane Lure. It is also sold by Sha'leth for.
The lure will allow one to catch Tainted Runescale Koi, If this item is used after having obtained the Underlight Angler, one will instead be able to catch Tainted Runescale Koi.
