Leatherwing Screecher

SS Companion

The Leatherwing Screecher is a bat companion.

This item can be received as a reward from Island Expeditions where bats appear.

It can also be looted from the following Island Expedition containers:

• Un'gol Ruins Salvage
• Crestfall Salvage
• Dread Chain Salvage
• Havenswood Salvage
• Jorundall Salvage
• Rotting Mire Salvage
• Snowblossom Salvage

We don't know much about this species, but we do know this: bats aren't bugs.

• Its Pet Journal description is a reference. Calvin is supposed to write a report on bats, but he doesn't want to put in any time or effort researching them, so he tells Hobbes to write the first thing he can think of: "They're bugs, aren't they?" When Calvin starts to present his report in the classroom, the entire class interrupts by yelling, "BATS AREN'T BUGS!!"
