Enter the Creektooth Den - Decayve and find three Friendly Gnolls.

Open the first Meat Storage cage. The friendly gnoll turns into a hostile "Friendly" Gnoll and attacks:

Kill it.

Open the second cage, and the same thing happens:

Kill it too.

Now, speak with the third gnoll instead:

• <The gnoll looks hungry.>

Find the Rotting Root near the first cage and pull it, which spawns the Root of Decay. Attack it:

Kill it.

• After completion

• The Mon-Ark runs out of the cave.

Completing the quest also awards the "Creektooth Den" criterion of Sojourner of Azure Span.
