Applebough

Last wiki revision 2022-10-27

Applebough is a treant vendor located in Dalaran.Besides the normal fruits, this vendor also sells Dalaran Apple Bowl for and Fresh Apple Juice for.

During the purge of Dalaran, Applebough hid behind their cart.

Applebough appears as HS Applebough (one of the bosses) that can be encountered in the HS Dalaran Heist single-player experience in the Rise of Shadows expansion for Hearthstone.

During the development of Rise of Shadows, Applebough was at one point considered for inclusion as a collectible minion; Team 5 envisioned a design for a "Tree" card which would become dormant upon being killed and could come back to life after the controlling player healed for a certain amount, and initially thought that Applebough would be a perfect identity for this card. However, this idea was dropped since adding HS Treant synergy to the card could lead to unexpected issues. The design was eventually repurposed for the new character of HS Lucentbark instead.

  • It's quite possible Applebough is a druid in the form of a treant as they are classified as humanoid, although this is strange as normal Tree of Life druids are considered elementals.
  • When you run around Dalaran on the Broken Isles as a Restoration druid with G'Hanir, the Mother Tree equipped, Applebough will occasionally toss you a Laden Apple.
  • In Hearthstone, Applebough has a feminine voice.
  • In the Russian version of World of Warcraft, Applebough was named with male ending Яблочкин (Yablochkin) initially. After with release of Hearthstone expansion Rise of Shadows Applebough was renamed with female ending Яблочкина (Yablochkina).
  • Felbough
