Kirin Tor Familiar

Kirin Tor Familiar is a companion that is obtained by first completing the Higher Learning achievement.

Once the achievement has been earned, an item called The Schools of Arcane Magic - Mastery will be given that will teleport you to the spire, at Archmage Vargoth's Retreat. The pet is not bought but rather placed into the player's inventory after speaking to Archmage Vargoth.

The idle animations for this companion are similar to the voidwalker's with the addition of sporadic arcane explosions periodically. Unlike the laser beam from Sleepy Willy's eye, there does not appear to be an obvious trigger.
