Axe of the Iron Price is a rare world drop item; it can be dropped by level 85–87 mobs in Mists of Pandaria zones.

This item's name references the Greyjoy philosophy from A Song of Ice and Fire that one should pay the "iron price" and loot riches by killing foes, instead of simply buying riches with gold. Ironically, because this is a great twink weapon with ilvl 417 available to level 81 players, it's highly sought-after on the auction house.
