The Shadowlands are the lands beyond the mortal realm of Azeroth, where the souls of the dead travel to upon passing. The Arbiter, a being of great power, once guided these souls to one of many different afterlives. Now, all souls are being sent to the Maw, a place of eternal torment. The denizens of the Shadowlands, from the peaceful Kyrians of Bastion and the Night Fae of Ardenweald to the cunning Venthyr of Revendreth and warlike Necrolords of Maldraxxus, must now come together to stem the flow of souls.

Sire Denathrius revealed his plot to send anima into the maw and crushed the rebels that opposed him. Now, Prince Renethaul gathers his few remaining allies for a desperate mission to infiltrate Castle Nathria and remove Sire Denathrius from power once and for all.

For eons the Jailer was bound within The Maw. Now, his endless armies gather as he expands its boundaries to consume Oribos. In the face of annihiliation, Bolvar marshals his last remaining allies to charge into the heart of Torghast and confront the Jailer where he is most powerful.
