Don't be afraid of the sword, nubling. It's the mutton that gets ya! (this is a reference to the fact that when standing, he holds both a sword and a piece of mutton.)

• His name is a reference to Samwise Didier, Blizzard's art director.

When you speak to him after the mules with him have been slain, he will say "Terrible thing, what happened to them mules. Metz is gonna have my hide for this failure." Probably referencing Samwise's connections to Chris Metzen, Vice President of creative development at Blizzard.
