Zazla

Zazla is a deceased troll on Darkmoon Island. His ghost is located on the northwest coast of the island and is only visible while dead. He is one of several ghosts on the island.

Zazla's testimony of his past is difficult to piece together. Zazla was involved in a shipwreck and was taken captive. During his captivity, he was slated for execution but was saved by Silas Darkmoon. It was around his liberation that his captors died and he relished in their passing. It is assumed after this Zazla would work for the Faire in relative peace until his sudden death.

• "The faire kept me from an execution. It saved my life."
• "Silas kept me safe from my previous captors."
• "I saw my captors die horrible deaths. And I laughed."
• "I barely survived the shipwreck..."

It could be worth speculating that Zazla died at the hands of Rona Greenteeth, whom happens to sell various foods that originate from her victims of various races. This is reinforced by the fact that Rona sells meat bearing reference to troll remains.

If Rona did not kill Zazla, then he possibly died at the hand of wildlife or some other means.

It could be theorized that Silas Darkmoon and his carnies killed Zazla's captors. This is a possibility because it is revealed in Blood Runs Thicker that Silas has no problem with using violence to protect his family of the Faire against those who threaten them. If Zazla's captors threatened to execute him for working with the Faire, then Silas and his carnies did whatever it took to protect one of their own.

The shipwreck that Zazla mentions could be any of the shipwrecks scattered around Darkmoon Island. The closest wreck is by his ghost off the west coast.
