Xoroth

Xoroth is one of the fiery, chaotic worlds belonging to the Burning Legion. The domain of Lord Hel'nurath, the "stable-keeper", Xoroth is a world of infernal heat and scorched bones home to the infernal dreadsteeds and wrathsteeds that serve as mounts to the nathrezim.

The people of Xoroth did not join the Legion willingly. They were enslaved, and the planet Xerrath was destroyed by the demons as a show of power.

In Dire Maul West, adventurers opened a portal to Xoroth. Despite the intervention of Lord Hel'nurath and several Xorothian demons, the warlock adventurer managed to capture a Xorothian Dreadsteed.

During the third invasion of the Burning Legion, Xorothian Fel Knights came through portals from Xoroth to face the Armies of Legionfall on the Broken Shore. They were led by Lord Hel'nurath, followed by Xorothian Cultists comprised of Azerothian races.

The First of the Black Harvest and his Council opened a portal to Xoroth, killed Arax'ath and enslaved his wrathsteed mount.

In Antorus, the Burning Throne on Argus, Portal Keeper Hasabel opened a portal to Xoroth to use its fiery powers against the Azerothian forces.

Most of the following inhabitants of Xoroth have been encountered in Azeroth. Some could be found emerging from portals within Mazthoril, some were on the Broken Shore, and others were previously summoned in Dire Maul as part of the warlock quest chain to acquire a dreadsteed mount.

• The adjective form of Xoroth is "Xorothian".
• Mists of Pandaria introduced a warlock spell called Flames of Xoroth.

Given that Xoroth is the home of the dreadsteeds, it is possible that Xoroth is the world where the dreadlords established their citadel (seen in The Dreadlords Convene, an interlude from the Undead campaign in Reign of Chaos). However, given the number of worlds consumed by the Legion, the Citadel could reside on another nathrezim world—possibly Nathreza, the now-destroyed nathrezim homeworld, or even Argus.
