Mor'shan Rampart

Last wiki revision 2023-02-26

The Mor'shan Rampart lies at the northern terminus of the Gold Road in Northern Barrens. This makeshift defensive post was built to withstand the push of Alliance forces into the region from Ashenvale to the north. The rampart and its watch towers still serve as a makeshift launching point for raids on the night elven town of Astranaar.

Following the Cataclysm the rampart has come under attack by the Alliance. Ashenvale Skirmishers regularly charge the rampart and engage in combat with the Mor'shan Defenders, while Ashenvale Bowmen shoot arrows at them.

Following the Siege of Orgrimmar, the ramparts were abandoned by the Horde and taken by the night elves. During the War of the Thorns, the elves were killed by two Horde rogues.

Although originally a strong and reinforced bulwark of the Horde, the chaos of Cataclysm and unending military pushes saw the Alliance claim Mor'shan Rampart at long last. The area was changing hands between the Alliance and Mor'shan defenders since then. As of the end of the Fourth War, the area is held by the Alliance's troops.

  • Mor'shan Defenders
  • Mor'shan Watchmen
  • The NPCs there are all tagged as either Warsong Outriders or members of the Warsong Offensive, indicating they are from the larger Warsong clan.
  • The flight map refers to it as The Mor'Shan Ramparts.
