Ka'alu

Ka'alu, the Raven Mother, is a dread raven demigod and the consort of Anzu left to watch over the dread ravens when he vanished into the shadows after being cursed by Sethe. A group of Arakkoa Outcasts known as the Ravenspeakers follow her, and she allows them to because she weeps for the cursed arakkoa, stuck between Rukhmar who fears and rejects them, and Sethe who seeks to enslave them to his will.

At Anzu's request, the Ravenspeakers call on Ka'alu to help the Arakkoa Outcasts face the Adherents of Rukhmar at the Windswept Terrace and the Terrace of Dawn. Though she agrees, Ka'alu muses that Anzu often meddles in the affairs of mortals, and one would think she would learn from his mistakes.

Ka'alu seems to have predicted Draenor's transformation into Outland, saying that the world would be torn asunder in a great catastrophe and claiming that she would take the Ravenspeakers to safety when that day came. It is unknown if Ka'alu made good on that promise during Draenor's destruction or if she died with it.

• Gossip

Do you know why I allow these accursed, forgotten children of Rukhmar to live among my flock? it is because I weep for them.

They are trapped between two gods: one who fears and rejects them, and one who would enslave them to his dark will.

Their only champion abandoned them long ago, and nobody has stood beside them since.

Until you came along.
