Last wiki revision 2023-10-06

  • This article is about the in-game dungeon boss. For character biography and other appearances, see Teron'gor.

Teron'gor is the final boss of. The mastermind behind the Burning Legion's invasion in Talador, Teron'gor seeks to use the powerful spirits of the Draenei to empower both himself and his forthcoming demon masters.

Working alongside the Sargerei, Gul'dan's agent Teron'gor plots to feast upon the bounty of souls contained within the barriers of the holy mausoleum of Auchindoun.

Teron'gor is a powerful warlock. At 75% health, he will drain and corrupt the power of the soul of one of the ancient spirits of Auchindoun, healing to full and gaining powers of either a Demonology, Destruction, or Affliction warlock depending on which spirit he drains.

At 75% health, Teron'gor twists and devours one of the ancient souls of Auchindoun, gaining malevolent powers directly opposed to the good deeds the Draenei heroes stood for in life. In Challenge Mode, Teron'gor will siphon all three spirits and gain a combination of their powers.

  • Teron'gor

Teron'gor is a challenging battle with an element of unpredictability due to which spirit he decides to absorb. Depending on which one, Teron'gor will gain additional powers corresponding to one of the three Warlock specs. Absorbing Mender Elum will give him Affliction powers, Arcanist Joraa empowers him with Destruction, and Vindicator Iruun gives him power of Demonology. Aside from the soul powers, the boss will cast a combination of interruptable Shadow Bolt, Drain Life, and a dispellable Corruption.

In Heroic Mode, he will also cast an easily dodged Rain of Fire, and will summon an Abyssal to attack one of the DPS. Depending on how bulky said player is, she may choose to either run from it or simply take it as the healer heals off the extra damage.

Affliction: This phase will deal large amounts of magic damage through DoT's. Both Seed of Corruption and Unstable Affliction will cause damage to the player hit with it and those around him, so staying spread out during this phase is important. The Curse of Exhaustion debuff should be dispelled to help those moving away from either the Rain of Fire or those with Seed of Corruption. Players should also stay away from Bloom of Malevolence, a patch of dark energy on the ground which does more damage over time and applies another Seed of Malevolence, further spreading the dark patches around the field.

Destruction: This phase is the most affected by how well the players can interrupt Teron'gor's spells. If most of his spells are interrupted, the fight is much easier. If not, this is the most high-damage of the three possible phases. The boss hits the tank with interruptible Incinerates. Chaos Bolt deals high single-target damage to a random target. Dispel Immolate and Conflagrate when possible. Rain of Fire also becomes uninterruptible, so all players should be ready to move.

Demonology: Teron'gor uses Metamorphosis (warlock ability) and melees the tank at high speed. Several of his abilities use knockback in this phase to try to send non-careful players off the cliff. In place of Rain of Fire, he casts Chaos Wave, a large, damaging knockback wave that moves similar to Carrion Swarm or Typhoon. Ranged should stay spread out so he only targets one with Chaos wave. Lastly, he uses a powerful Demonic Leap which also has a knockback.
