Sungshin Ironpaw

Last wiki revision 2023-10-31

Sungshin Ironpaw is a teacher of Pandaren cooking at the Halfhill Market in the Valley of the Four Winds. She starts the quests to learn the six Ways, which are needed to raise cooking skill to 600.

She also appears in the quests and the Finding the Secret Ingredient scenario which lead to Pandaren Treasure Noodle Cart Kit.

The rice pudding recipe is her favorite.

She traveled to Valdrakken and can be found at the Ruby Feast on Tuesdays. On the nearby table, Azerothian Spices and Halfhill Account Records can be found. On her buffet table, one may find Fried Emperor Wraps, Seared Sea Mist Noodles, and Roquefort-Stuffed Peppers.

  • Hello, friend. Hungry?
  • Your skill in cooking is only as great as your most advanced Way.

Welcome, fellow traveler. I am Chef Sungshin Ironpaw, Guide to the Ways and administrant to the Halfhill Market.

A curious letter made it's way to me in the Valley of the Four Winds, written by Chef Morsel. He informed me that these Isles had opened and that he and his partner would be hosting a garden party of sorts. They would use it as an opportunity to showcase the rare ingredients of the Dragon Isles, as well as the wide variety of cuisines Azeroth has to offer.

I simply couldn't refuse a request to exhibit the wonders of our great Pandaria!

Please feel free to try my own offerings. We Pandaren are always on the move, so we've found food that travels with you is always the most satisfying.

  • Sungshin's grandfather told her stories of Lin family noodle shop on the Timeless Isle, which was famous, and knew details like of the turtles just offshore of the isle.
  • In early Legion development, she was a judge in the Cooking Tournament in Dalaran.

Sungshin appears to be an older matronly pandaren, perhaps a grandmother. If her grandfather, who likely visited the Timeless Isle, was the last generation to see it, it could mean the isle was last present about five generations ago.
