Tempest's Reach

Last wiki revision 2022-05-01

Tempest's Reach is a village and lighthouse on the eastern coast of Gilneas. It is here that the people of Stormglen Village fled to. It is also here where Lord Godfrey betrayed and captured Genn Greymane. Godfrey can be found with Greymane and Lord Hewell in the center of town, Baron Ashbury can be found at the lighthouse, and Lord Walden is in a house up the hill. After his minions are dealt with, Lord Godfrey commits suicide by jumping off the cliff onto the jagged rocks below the village, unwilling to live with a worgen for a king.

In the Ruins of Gilneas zone, the primary purpose of its continued demarcation as a separate subzone is for the Horde quest A Man Named Godfrey. In the quest, Lord Godfrey's corpse can be found here, and Deathstalker Commander Belmont and Arthura will accompany the player to the beach to retrieve him. However, the worgen forces have encircled the trio and Belmont stays behind while Arthura takes the player away.

  • Atop the hills to the northeast there is a small outdoor chapel where a wedding was seemingly taking place. Roses and some bottles litter the area.
