Ner'zhul (tactics)

Ner'zhul is the final boss of the Shadowmoon Burial Grounds. Following his defeat during Darkness Falls, the Shadowmoon chieftain uses what power he retrained from the Dark Star to make his last stand in the Edge of Reality.

''Ner'zhul, chieftain and elder shaman of the Shadowmoon clan, sacrificed the heart and soul of his tribe in an attempt to join the Iron Horde. He has now retreated to his clan's ancient burial grounds as he ventures ever further along a dark path, embracing the power of the Void and the necromantic arts.''

Ner'zhul unleashes the void upon his foes, summoning legions of shadowy minions to sweep death across the battlefield.

• When Ner'zhul performs Ritual of Bones, focus your damage on a single skeleton to break the chain.
• Quickly move away from Omen of Death, which deals more damage the closer players remain.

In addition to melee attacks, Ner'zhul tries to cast his Malevolence attack on the tank, a short-range cone-shaped spell in front of him. Dodge by quickly moving to the side. Omen of Death fires lasers from the sky with damage the immediate area around it.

His most dangerous ability is Ritual of Bones. This ability summons skeletons similar to the ghouls summoned by the Echo of Sylvanas in the End Time. The party should mark one skeleton and dps it as fast as they can to avoid the oncoming dark clouds which do massive damage. The tank should take extra care to not have Ner'zhul's Malevolence hit the rest of the party due to the small space the dark clouds leave you to move around and position. Space can be a greater issue if an Omen of Death laser comes down on the safe spot.
