Giraffe

Giraffes are beasts that are found in the Barrens in central Kalimdor and Sholazar Basin in western Northrend.

The barbaric centaur over-hunted giraffes for decades, but it was the tauren who saved this species from extinction.

Giraffe Calves can be captured in pet battles in the Southern Barrens.

Giraffes are tamable by hunters as part of the stag family.

• Giraffes in WoW use the exact same set of bleats as the Goatmen demons from Diablo II.
• One of the forms that Elrodan can polymorph Aurosalia into is a giraffe.
• There are no currently known quests that involve killing giraffes. This makes them somewhat unique.
• Giraffe corpses are skinnable.

Giraffes are graceful herbivores with long necks. They eat the leaves from the tops of trees. Giraffes are docile herbivores, but defend themselves with their hooves if attacked.
