Ricket
Last wiki revision 2022-09-11
Ricket is a goblin located at K3 in The Storm Peaks. She later appears in Deepholm, Mount Hyjal, and the Molten Front.
At some point, Ricket visited Ratchet in the Barrens and met Chief Engineer Foote who told her a tale about the creator of Blingtron.
In Deepholm, Ricket appears in the Crumbling Depths where she gives a daily quest after the zone's main quest chain. D'lom the Collector trades the gold he gets from adventurers for the crystals she gathers. Randomly generated as a quest giver each day, she will not always be available. Notably, the bombs provided for her quests creates an explosion which to many players is the only way to reach the cave that Jadefang resides in.
At the Molten Front, Ricket has teamed up with Damek Bloombeard to help the Guardians of Hyjal to fight against Ragnaros. Prior to that she'll make a brief appearance in Mount Hyjal upon completing Additional Armaments, which'll unlock her as a quest giver in the Molten Front. In the Molten Front she is one of many NPCs which gives daily quests that reward Mark of the World Tree. She will appear on different locations and give different dailies depending on her location. She will only give one daily quest each day.
Apparently, if she doesn't give a daily at her location at Malfurion's Breach, it means she'll offer one for the Furnace or the Forlorn Spire instead. To unlock these locations, the player will have to complete Into the Fire and The Forlorn Spire (quest) (it's only possible to complete one of them each day).
Ricket appears briefly during the construction of Beastwatch, entering with 's group, but does not appear in the outpost after this.
Engineers visit her in K3 during a search for the creator of the Blingtron.
Ricket appears at Rustbolt next to Rocket-Chief Fuselage.

- Ricket's mount is a mechanical scorpion.
- Ricket was in the Chamber of the Guardian in Dalaran and sold Goblin Glider Kits near the portal to Dalaran Crater for each. She was removed from Dalaran in an undocumented hotfix, which also moved the Dalaran Crater exit point closer to the ground so that players would no longer suffer fatal fall damage. (The mage portal to Dalaran Crater remains unaffected and thus can still result in your death.)
- A version of Ricket can be briefly seen in Gorgrond following the quest Just Another Stick in the Wall but is not seen elsewhere in the expansion. This could indicate that Penny Clobberbottom was originally meant to be Ricket, giving the player a familiar follower rather than a new character.
When Ricket worked with Uraka Wildthunder in Zuldazar on an Experimental Warboat, she put a Bilgewater Cartel banner on it so that everyone knew who masterminded the inventions on the warboat. This may mean that Ricket joined the Bilgewater Cartel and the Horde or that she was just hired by the Bilgewaters to build the boat.
